What was even more pleasing is that the First National Real Estate Nerang achieved this incredible result against much larger sales teams, in some cases two and three times the size, that operate in residential, commercial, rural and industrial sales.
The elegant affair, held at the Sofitel Hotel, celebrated the best of the state’s real estate performances over the past year.
Salespeople Ray Ellis and Steven Hayes were also recognised for being among the state’s Top 10 Salespeople and Angela Baker was named Administrator of the Year. First National Nerang was the only office to have two salespeople represented in the elite top 10.
According to First National Nerang Principal, Michael Gray, these awards were even more exceptional this year given the turbulent economic conditions of the Global Financial Crisis.
“At a time when many real estate agents were finding times especially difficult, we rose above all the doom and gloom and showed just how effective we are in our given fields,” Mr Gray said.
“That’s testimony to our hard work, as well as our tireless spirit to ensure we do our best for our clients at all times with a strength and fortitude that will always see us conquer any situation, by identifying opportunities where others may not.”
State Chair, David Hamilton said the First National Awards were also an important event on the network’s social calendar where members could come together and share ideas and views on how to perform better for their clients.
“It is important that members are encouraged to learn and grow their businesses so that they don’t operate with a silo mentality,” Mr Hamilton said.
“While each member works autonomously, they know that they are part of a larger group and collectively we are all striving for the one goal – a better network which puts its clients first”.
These awards complete an amazing three months for the team at First National Nerang which seen the team selected for the third time as the REIQ Queensland Agency of the Year 2010 and second time in a row in the medium agency category.
